You heard it here first: Upkeep is expanding to NYC! If you’re in the area, you can now book treatments like Botox, laser hair removal, and body sculpting in the Upkeep app without having to call around or wait on hold. You can even book same-day appointments, in just a couple taps on your phone. We know, it seems too good to be true. But it’s real, and it’s available in Tribeca! In the spirit of celebration, we’re sharing some of our favorite places in our new neighborhood, including MedSpas. Keep reading for a perfect itinerary for a day in Tribeca!
Coffee is a given when living the New York lifestyle, and there are plenty of stylish cafes in the neighborhood. We love La Colombe, which roasts its own coffee beans and has delicious pastries too. Their hazelnut lattes are their signature. Two Hands is great for a light breakfast, and in addition to the typical roster of espresso drinks and juices, boasts specialties like taro lattes.
Next it’s time to head to the MedSpa. In a fast paced city, New Yorkers are all about efficient use of time. That’s where Upkeep comes in–the app that makes it super easy to book MedSpa treatments from a hand-selected list of qualified providers. Skin Solutions Collective or SkinStudio9 are two amazing providers in this area, with a variety of MedSpa treatments available. Some of our favorite treatments to work into a busy day are Botox, filler, or Hydrafacials. You could also do laser hair removal as long as the treatment area will be kept out of the sun. Or a body sculpting treatment like CryoSlim which permanently slims targeted areas. All of these beauty treatments are minimally invasive or non-invasive with minimal side effects. So you can enjoy the rest of your day without side effects getting in the way (but if you choose Botox, avoid drinking alcohol!) Book your Tribeca appointment with Upkeep and see how easy it is to make beauty treatments part of your day!
Next up is shopping. Your first stop should be The Westside. Offering laid back luxury in a California-inspired space, the Westside specializes in bohemian styles and designer denim. There’s also La Garconne, a boutique that carries established brands like Comme Des Garcons and The Row, as well cutting edge, up-and-coming designers whose creations are hard to find anywhere else. If you’re hankering for beauty products, Onda Beauty is your next destination. The store is beautiful and relaxing, and they stock several clean beauty luxury brands like Kat Burki, Salt and Stone, and Dr Barbara Sturm. From makeup to haircare to skincare, they’ve got you covered.
Once you’re all shopped out, take in some high culture at the James Cohan Gallery. It’s a contemporary art museum with rotating exhibits from artists all over the world. The exhibits change all the time so you’re sure to see something fresh and exciting.
For pre-dinner drinks, check out Locanda Verde. When it comes to cocktails, there’s something for everyone here, from marsala-infused riff on the Manhattan to an Italian spin on the Pimms cup. They make their espresso martinis with Frangelico for that extra special something. Plus they have an excellent selection of Italian wines.
For dinner, Frenchette is a fabulous French restaurant in a Parisian brassiere inspired space. The menu changes almost every day but if you happen to come on a day when the duck frites are available, we highly recommend them. For a unique waterfront experience, Grand Banks is where it’s at. Inspired by the “oyster barges” of 19th century Manhattan, Grand Banks is a boat (!!) docked near Tribeca that serves sustainably harvested oysters, caviar, and fish, with fantastic craft cocktails. The tiki-inspired Permanent Vacation is a favorite of ours. Plus they have a great happy hour if you get there early.
Tribeca is full of things to do and see–these are just some of our favorites. We’re so thrilled to be expanding into this New York neighborhood–stay tuned to see where Upkeep goes next!
